Watch the Matches at BC Place

Every Vancouver match is played at BC Place, located at 777 Pacific Blvd right in the heart of downtown. With a FIFA-configured capacity of 54,500, a retractable roof, and a mountain backdrop that no other World Cup venue can match, BC Place is the beating heart of the city during the tournament.

Key matches: Canada plays Qatar on June 18 and Switzerland on June 24, both at BC Place, with knockout round matches following in early July. Check the full match schedule for all dates and kick-off times. Looking for an Indian restaurant near BC Place? Sula Davie Street is an 18-minute walk from the stadium.

Getting there: Take the SkyTrain Expo Line and use Main Street–Science World Station. Stadium-Chinatown Station is closed to fans on all match days β€” plan accordingly.

Catch the FIFA Fan Festival at the PNE β€” It's Free

No match ticket? No problem. The official FIFA Fan Festival runs from June 11 to July 19, 2026, at the PNE in East Vancouver at Hastings Park. Entry is completely free and open to everyone.

Inside you will find giant screens broadcasting every match live, headline music performances, food vendors, family-friendly activities, interactive fan zones, and cultural programming from both Canadian and global artists. The PNE grounds have a unique fairground character β€” carnival rides, local food stalls, and the kind of community energy that Vancouver does better than almost any city. After the festival, Sula on Commercial Drive is just minutes away for a proper sit-down meal.

Note: The PNE and BC Place are on opposite sides of the city. BC Place is downtown; the PNE is in East Vancouver near Hastings Park. Budget 30–40 minutes transit between them on match days.

Spend a Morning in Stanley Park

No visit to Vancouver is complete without Stanley Park. Over 1,000 acres of old-growth forest, seawall, beaches, and totem poles sit right on the edge of downtown β€” one of the largest urban parks in North America. Rent a bike and ride the 10km seawall loop for some of the most scenic views of the city, the mountains, English Bay, and the Lions Gate Bridge.

Whether you go early morning before the crowds or late afternoon for golden hour, Stanley Park will be one of the highlights of your Vancouver trip. After your walk, the Indian restaurant on Main Street Vancouver is a great option for a relaxed lunch nearby.

Explore Vancouver's Neighbourhoods

Beyond the main attractions, Vancouver rewards slow exploration. Gastown is the city's oldest neighbourhood, with cobblestone streets, the famous steam clock, and a great mix of restaurants and galleries. Chinatown, right next to BC Place, has one of the most historically significant Chinese communities in North America. Yaletown, on the south side of downtown, is polished and walkable with waterfront patios.

Each neighbourhood has its own personality β€” all easy to reach on foot or by SkyTrain. Pick a direction and walk; Vancouver's neighbourhoods are made for it. And wherever you end up, you can always order Indian food delivered directly to your accommodation.
