  • 2 onions, minced
  • 1/4 inch fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 1/4 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 1/4 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp salt + 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/4 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp coconut sugar
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 2 cans chickpeas, drained (14.5 oz each)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 5.7 oz coconut cream

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a large pan. Add minced onion and ginger. Sauté for 3-5 minutes.
  2. Blend the cooked onion-ginger into a smooth paste and return it to the pan.
  3. Add garlic paste and all spices. Stir well.
  4. Add tomatoes and chickpeas. Mix and simmer.
